Annoh-Dompreh: Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP denies firing gunshots at collation centre

The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has vehemently denied allegations made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that he fired gunshots at Nsawam.
This follows a melee that erupted over the weekend at St Martins Senior High School during a collation of the just-ended elections, where NDC supporters stormed the hall to disrupt the collation process.
Annoh-Dompreh was attacked, but he managed to flee from the center after having his V8 vehicle vandalised.
Ghana went to the polls on December 7, 2024.
The highly-contested election saw intense vigilantism especially from NDC supporters who explained they wanted to protect their votes to ensure a fair counting and declaration of winners.
