Assemblies of God Church leadership visits President-elect to offer prayers
The Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God Church paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, on Tuesday to extend their congratulations on his electoral victory.
The delegation, led by the General Superintendent of the church, Reverend Stephen Wengam, reaffirmed the church’s unwavering support for Mr. Mahama as he prepared to assume office.
Reverend Wengam expressed confidence in his leadership, stating that the church will “stand firm with him at all times in his quest to reset and lead Ghana as its next head of state.”
A member of the Assemblies of God Church himself, Mr. Mahama, was joined by his wife, Lordina Mahama, during the visit.
The President-elect expressed heartfelt gratitude to the church for its enduring support and spiritual guidance throughout his public and personal life.
In his remarks, Mr. Mahama assured the church leaders and the nation of his commitment to governing with integrity, pledging to lead with honesty and prioritize the interests of Ghanaians at all times.
The visit concluded with Reverend Wengam offering prayers for the President-elect, his family, and his team, seeking divine wisdom and strength for the leadership ahead.
