Bawumia and Napo are perfect match to move Ghana forward – Kokofu
The Campaign Aide to the New Patriotic Party’s running mate, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has described Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the ideal partner for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming 2024 elections. Speaking at a mini-rally in Begro in the Fanteakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region, Dr. Kokofu praised the former Energy Minister, affectionately known as Napo, calling the duo the "perfect match" for Ghana’s future.
He emphasized the overwhelming support from constituencies across the region, noting the enthusiasm and energy from Abuakwa South to Fanteakwa North.
"The constituents have clearly shown their satisfaction with the work of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and are ready to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the man of the moment, to lead Ghana to the next level.
Fanteakwa stands with Dr. Bawumia and parliamentary candidate Kwame Appiah Kodua," he declared.
Dr. Kokofu, a former Member of Parliament for Bantama and the current Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency, has been accompanying the NPP’s running mate on a campaign tour of the Eastern Region, urging Ghanaians to back Dr. Bawumia in the December 7 polls.
He also praised Dr. Opoku Prempeh for his kindness and leadership, which contributed to his success as Minister for Education, particularly in overseeing the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy under the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.
“I wasn’t surprised when Napo was entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the success of such a monumental policy,” Dr. Kokofu added.
Taking his turn to speak, Dr. Opoku Prempeh highlighted the NPP’s achievements in various sectors, including education, energy, and health, urging Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
Parliamentary Candidate for Fanteakwa North, Kwame Appiah Kodua, also addressed the crowd, outlining several developmental projects the NPP has delivered in the area and rallying support for the party in the upcoming elections.
