Bawumia thank supporters in Ashanti region, urges unity ahead of NPP presidential contest
Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed gratitude to supporters for what he described as overwhelming confidence and unwavering backing as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) heads into the final stretch of its internal presidential contest.
In a statement following engagements in the Ashanti Region, Dr Bawumia specifically thanked party faithful in the Asante Akim Central, Juaben, Ejisu and Oforikrom constituencies for the strong show of support during his visit.
He said the encouragement from party members and supporters had been deeply inspiring and reaffirmed his commitment to leading efforts to rebuild and reposition the NPP.
“The unwavering support of fellow patriots and the confidence you continue to repose in me have truly been inspiring,” he stated.
With seven days to the party’s presidential election, Dr Bawumia urged supporters to remain focused and united, stressing the need to keep “eyes on the prize” as the contest draws to a close.
He called on party members to work together to secure victory and continue what he described as the journey to restore the NPP to its “rightful place” as a strong and united political force.
Dr Bawumia’s campaign activities in the Ashanti Region form part of his nationwide outreach as contenders intensify efforts ahead of the crucial internal election.
