Bawumia to light up Akuapim North with "The Mega Ofie Walk"
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, will spearhead a major event called “The Mega Ofie Walk” in the Akuapim North Constituency of the Eastern region.
This walk aims to rally party faithful and supporters, energizing them to break the eight-year governance cycle is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024.
The event is expected to attract over 5,000 participants.
The walk will be led by Sammi Awuku, the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapim North and Director-General of the National Lottery Authority.
The 6-kilometer walk will commence at Mamfe and conclude at Mampong Coronation Park.
This event will also serve as the official launch of Mr Awuku’s campaign, showcasing the NPP’s strategy to gain a decisive edge over the NDC in the Constituency.
Dr. Bawumia will be joined by other prominent NPP figures, including Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Justin Frimpong Kodua, Henry Nana Boakye, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, Kwabena Agyepong, Nana Akomea and Anthony Karbo.
The Eastern Regional Chairman, along with regional and Constituency executives, will also grace the occasion.
Adding to the excitement, a mega bash featuring popular musicians such as Guru, Edem, Praye, and Andy Dosty will take place.
The former captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, will make a special appearance.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to deliver a speech highlighting the importance of continuing with the NPP government to build on its achievements
