Colombia ambassador calls on speaker of parliament

The Colombia Ambassador to Ghana his Excellency Daniel Garces Carabah has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin.
Mr Carabah indicated that, he would build on the good works of his predecessor to strengthening the relations with Ghana to achieve the mutual benefit of both countries.
Although Ghana and Colombia established diplomatic relations on 23rd June 1988 its mission in Ghana was opened in 2023 and has since forged cooperation in the areas of Health, Peace and Security, socio-cultural, Education, and Economic sectors.
The Colombian Ambassador made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call to Mr. Speaker at his office in Parliament.
For his part, Mr. Speaker expressed delight at the visit and pledged to enhance Parliament's relations between the two nations.
In furtherance, the Speaker assured that Parliament would inaugurate the Colombia Parliamentary Friendship Association as soon as possible before the general elections in next year 2024.
