Dr. Apaak cuts sod for multiple education, health projects in Builsa South
Member of Parliament for Builsa South and Deputy Education Minister, Dr. Clement Apaak, has cut the sod for the construction of several education and health projects in the constituency.
The projects are aimed at improving access to quality learning and healthcare in the area.
They include a kindergarten block at Gbedema Akapiisi-yeri, a CHPS compound at Kanjarga Logvogsa, a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Musiden in Kanjarga, a similar facility at Kanjarga Piisa, and the construction and furnishing of a CHPS compound at Dogning Banyangsa.
All the projects are funded through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
The sod-cutting event was attended by the Chief of Kanjarga, representatives from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Ghana Health Service (GHS), the Builsa South District Assembly staff, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency chairman, and assembly members from the beneficiary communities.
District Chief Executive Anne Musah led the delegation on behalf of the Builsa South District Assembly.
The projects will be executed by various contractors, including M/S Adensebabiik Enterprise Limited, M/S Anontee Limited, and M/S Danda Aminu Limited.
Specifically, M/S Adensebabiik Enterprise Limited will construct CHPS compounds at Logvogsa and a kindergarten block at Gbedema Guuta; M/S Anontee Limited will handle the CHPS compound at Banyangsa; while M/S Danda Aminu Limited will execute the two three-unit classroom blocks at Musidema and Kanjarga Piisa.
Dr. Apaak urged the contractors to adhere to timelines and standards to ensure the facilities serve their intended purpose.
The initiative forms part of a broader plan to enhance educational and health delivery systems across Builsa South through targeted community-level projects.
