Nana Alhaji Abdul Razak, an aspiring Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Fanteakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region, has contributed to improving emergency care in the district by donating an ambulance.

The gesture aims to enhance the emergency care delivery system in an area prone to road accidents.

The donation ceremony, held at Tokyo City in Nsutam, witnessed Nana Alhaji Abdul Razak expressing concern about the district's vulnerability to road accidents.

Recognising the significance of timely emergency care, he felt compelled to offer assistance, particularly as the existing ambulance in the area was out of commission.

"Fanteakwa South district is a hot spot in terms of road accidents, so when I heard their ambulance has broken down, I was touched to give a helping hand," he explained.

Mrs Margaret Nyarko, the District Health Director, highlighted the challenges faced when the main government ambulance for the area became inoperable.

She expressed gratitude for the new ambulance, emphasising its role in reducing the difficulties faced, especially in transporting pregnant women.

"Today is a happy day for the health fraternity at Fanteakwa. We had really faced a lot when our National Ambulance vehicle had an accident. From March, it was hard for us to transport, especially pregnant women. Thank God, this new ambulance will provide a solution," she remarked.

PAEMT Micheal Gaani, the Eastern Regiona Administrative Manager of the National Ambulance Service, commended Nana Alhaji Abdul Razak for his philanthropy, urging others to emulate such acts of kindness
