Emmanuel Agbaxode rallies for unity and progress as he seeks 2nd term as GJA Volta/Oti Chairman

The Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) for Volta/Oti Regions, Emmanuel Kobla Agbaxode, has called for unity and peaceful activities ahead of the upcoming polls.
Mr Agbaxode, who is seeking re-election, spoke to journalists after a successful vetting process.
He explained to his fellow media practitioners his desire to continue offering accountable, servant leadership characterised by transparency and unity prompted him to seek re-election.
“I promise to leverage the valuable experience gained from my first term to make our association even more vibrant,” he assured.
“Yes, the last three years were tough, it was a lonely journey, with some compatriots abandoning us, but great lessons have been learnt, and the groundwork has been prepared for greater heights,” he noted.
“We have focused on capacity building in the past years, with various workshops and training sessions."
The regional chairman stated that the chapter's priority now was the completion of work on a press centre project and the housing project for members.
He pledged to work tirelessly with major stakeholders, including the Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, a member of the association in good standing, to broaden the frontiers of the association and to create opportunities and prosperity for all media practitioners in the Volta and Oti regions.
“Let us remain united in our quest to position our dear association on a positive path for greater outcome,” he encouraged.
