The Minister for Government Communication and Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region, Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has cut the sod for the commencement of work on the 12.1-kilometre Asebu–Brimsu road.

The road project, which passes through several communities within the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency, is expected to improve connectivity, ease transportation challenges, and boost economic activities in the area.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony over the weekend, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu underscored the importance of the project in enhancing access to markets, schools, and health facilities, while facilitating the movement of goods and services.

Residents have long called for improvements to the stretch, citing poor road conditions that hamper travel, especially during the rainy season.

The commencement of the project is seen as a significant step toward addressing infrastructure deficits in the constituency and improving the overall quality of life for the people.

Local leaders and community members expressed appreciation for the initiative and pledged their support to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
