Former PNC flagbearer urges NDC to step aside in Kpandai rerun
Former flag bearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr Bernard Mornah, has appealed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to withdraw from the upcoming Kpandai constituency re-run election.
Speaking on CTV’s morning show with host Obaapa Yaa Titi, Mr Mornah argued that the NDC does not urgently need the Kpandai seat, since the party already has sufficient numbers in Parliament to execute its legislative agenda.
He suggested that the NDC’s withdrawal would create an opportunity for smaller political parties, including the PNC, to face the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on a more competitive playing field.
According to him, the PNC stands a strong chance of winning the seat if the NDC pulls out of the contest.
