Godfred Dame ‘nicodemously’ resigned from National Cathedral role, says Ablakwa

In a recent revelation, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has disclosed that Ghana's Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, resigned from his position as Secretary to the Executive Council of the National Cathedral of Ghana on January 19, 2023, in a secretive manner.
Mr Ablakwa further stated that Mr. Dame was subsequently replaced on March 16, 2023, by Sena Chartered Secretaries Ltd.
According to Mr Ablakwa, this resignation can be interpreted as a strategic move by the Attorney General to distance himself from the controversies surrounding the scandal-ridden National Cathedral project.
The North Tongu MP expressed his belief that many analysts will perceive this as a calculated decision by the Attorney General to jump ship and safeguard his reputation.
He highlighted that Mr. Dame's quiet resignation from President Akufo-Addo's billion-dollar legacy project, which the President has described as his "priority of priorities," had not been previously brought to the attention of the Ghanaian public.
The lawmaker concluded by suggesting that only time will reveal whether Mr. Dame's apparent resignation in the manner of Pontius Pilate will absolve him of any accountability when judgment day arrives.
The revelation of Godfred Dame's secretive resignation adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing discussions surrounding the National Cathedral project. As the public awaits further developments, scrutiny of the project's management and the involvement of key individuals continues to be a topic of interest and concern.
