I’m looking forward to working with you – Akufo-Addo to Senegal’s President-elect

President Akufo-Addo has expressed his unwavering commitment to fostering close collaboration with Senegal's President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to strengthen the bonds between Ghana and Senegal.
He believes that nurturing this relationship will not only elevate the quality of life for citizens of both countries but also promote shared interests and serve the broader African community.
In a statement issued on Thursday, March 28, President Akufo-Addo conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Faye on his decisive victory in the presidential election held on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
He hailed Faye's triumph as "well-deserved" and a clear indication of the trust and confidence reposed in Faye's vision for economic revitalization.
President Akufo-Addo also lauded outgoing President Macky Sall for his significant contributions to Africa's advancement and prosperity.
He commended Mr. Sall for overseeing a peaceful, credible, and transparent electoral process in Senegal, citing it as a testament to Sall's steadfast dedication to democratic values and peaceful transitions of power.
