Interior Minister engages Wulensi traditional leaders on security and development
The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has received a delegation from the Wulensi Traditional Area, led by the Regent of Wulensi, Osumanu Salifu Wumbei, during a courtesy call at his office in Accra.
The meeting focused on key security concerns, development priorities, and other critical issues affecting communities within the Wulensi Traditional Area, as well as matters related to national cohesion.
Mr. Muntaka underscored the importance of strong collaboration between the government and traditional authorities, noting that chiefs and community leaders play a vital role in maintaining peace and stability at the local level.
The engagement, according to the Interior Minister, reflects the government’s continued commitment to working closely with traditional institutions to address security challenges, advance development, and strengthen social harmony across the country.
The Wulensi delegation expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with the Minister and reiterated their readiness to support government efforts aimed at promoting peace and sustainable development in their communities.
