John Dumelo begins free weekly cocoa drinks programme for Ayawaso West Wuogon pupils
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has commenced a free weekly cocoa drink programme for pupils in his constituency.
The initiative began at the Accra College of Education Demonstration Basic School, where pupils were served cocoa drinks as part of the new intervention.
The programme is scheduled to run every week, ensuring that learners receive the beverage during school hours.
The initiative is aimed at supporting the general well-being of pupils while encouraging the consumption of locally produced cocoa.
Teachers and school authorities have welcomed the programme, noting that it will serve as an added boost for the children during academic activities.
The cocoa drinks programme is expected to be expanded to other basic schools within Ayawaso West Wuogon in the coming weeks as part of ongoing efforts to enhance support for education in the constituency.
