Kumawu by-election: Vote for NPP to honour my brother – Late Basoah’s sister
Ms Attaa Kyerewa Basoah has appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party’s candidate as Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu to honour the memory of her late brother, Philip Basoah, their former MP.
Ms Basoah made this appeal in an interview with Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman, the host of the Ghana Yensom morning show on Accra 100.5 FM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
According to her, her late brother suffered serving the party as MP and there is the need for the electorate to honour his memory.
“I am moving about 300 members of the Basoah family to vote massively for the NPP's candidate,” she disclosed.
She called on the electorate to put the past behind them and vote massively for the governing party.
She took the opportunity to thank the leadership of the NPP for the smooth organisation of her late brother's funeral.
She thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei Opere, for the love they have shown the Basoah family during their loss
