My MP aspiration not conflicting with NIB MD job - Fokuo

The National Investment Bank's newly appointed Managing Director, Mr Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo, has said his new job does not conflict with his parliamentary candidacy.
Mr Fokuo beat four other contenders to become the governing New Patriotic Party's parliamentary candidate for Manso Nkwanta Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
Since the Bank of Ghana appointed him to the position of NIB MD, the minority caucus and civil society have raise qualms about the move.
Hiwever, Mr Fokuo told Accra-based Joy News: “I do my work assiduously", adding: "I have no challenge in ensuring that the bank is run properly".
He said: "There is not a single day that I have been outside the office that I am doing party work".
"If I will be outside the office, that is my leisure time", he pointed out.
He insisted: “I don’t see any challenge. It doesn’t conflict with my official work at the bank."
