Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Stephen Amoah, popularly known as “Sticker”, has rejected claims by governance researcher, Musa Dankwa, that he is among Ghana’s underperforming Members of Parliament.

Mr. Amoah described the assessment as false and misleading, insisting that his record in the constituency reflects years of dedicated service and tangible development.

Further responding to the ranking, the lawmaker pointed to several initiatives and interventions he has championed in the Nhyeaso Constituency, arguing he has, through these initiatives, significantly improved the lives of the residents and demonstrated his commitment to effective representation.

He further maintained that the performance of an MP should not be measured solely by road construction and other physical infrastructure projects. 

According to him, the constitutional role of a legislator also includes representing constituents, advocating for their interests, and influencing national policies that promote development.

Mr. Amoah also questioned the methodology used in compiling the report, arguing that a credible assessment should have included consultations with key stakeholders such as traditional leaders, teachers, and community members who are familiar with the developments in the constituency.

He has therefore urged Musa Dankwa to review the findings, insisting that the report does not accurately reflect the realities in Nhyeaso and should not be accepted by the public as a true measure of his performance.
