NDC: Forgive me if I’ve offended you | Asiedu Nketiah apologises as he bows out of Gen Sec position after 17 years

The outgoing General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has apologised to party members he offended in the conduct of his duties and service to the party.
Mr Nketiah who has served as the NDC General Secretary for 17 years is stepping down today, Saturday, 17 December 2022, to contest the Chairmanship position.
He is hoping to unseat the incumbent, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, at today’s congress taking place at the Accra sports stadium.
Delivering a speech at the congress grounds, Mr Nketiah said “let me say a word of farewell to you as I step down today as your general secretary having served in that position for the past 17 years.
“I thank you for your cooperation and thank everybody.”
“Those I’ve offended may the Lord touch your heart to forgive me,” he noted.
“The credit I’ve made so far is shared and attributed to the foot soldiers of this country and this party,” he added.
