NPP UK branch denies endorsing Bawumia for party primaries

The UK Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly refuted claims that it has declared support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the party’s upcoming primaries.
The branch labeled these reports as complete fabrications aimed at sowing confusion and disunity within the party.
In an official statement, the Branch Executive Committee clarified that they have not held any meetings or authorised the issuance of any communique supporting a particular candidate.
They emphasised that the letterhead used in the report was forged and exploited to mislead the public both in Ghana and the UK.
The statement elaborated on an earlier meeting where Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had invited representatives from the NPP UK Branch to share his vision and aspirations for the presidency with them. However, the branch maintained that they are committed to remaining neutral in the upcoming presidential primaries.
The UK Branch urged the public to disregard the misleading publication and emphasized their dedication to impartiality during the party's internal selection processes.
