Nsiah Boakye Andrews, the Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, is recovering from injuries sustained in an attack reportedly orchestrated by the Constituency Chairman, Joe Sala, and a group of individuals.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the NPP Constituency office, where Mr. Boakye Andrews was allegedly assaulted over his use of a party-branded vehicle.
Sources indicate that the dispute centred on a brand-new pickup truck donated by the party’s national executives during the 2024 general elections.
Following the elections, the party leadership demanded the return of the vehicle, but Mr. Boakye Andrews reportedly refused to comply.
Tensions escalated, leading the Chairman and several individuals to lock the party office and confront the Secretary.
The confrontation turned violent, leaving Mr. Boakye Andrews with significant injuries.
He is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
The incident has raised concerns within the party, with calls for a thorough investigation to ensure accountability and prevent further disputes
