NPP to pull 87 percent votes in Ashanti with Napo as running mate-Campaign member

Mr. Kwabena Nseinkyire, a former Ashanti Regional Vice Chairperson for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a member of the Regional Campaign team for Bawumia for President 2024, has predicted that the NPP will dominate the polls in the Ashanti Region with Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming December 7 elections.
According to Mr. Seinyire, the party anticipates securing 87% of the total votes cast in the Ashanti Region.
He emphasized that the NPP is determined to leave no room for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to gain votes in the region.
He stated that with Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate, the regional campaign team is committed to working assiduously to ensure a high voter turnout for the NPP.
He also revealed that with Dr. Prempeh as the running mate and Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore Constituency in the Ashanti Region, appointed as the Campaign Coordinator for the Middle Belt Zone, the campaign will be sophisticated and effective.
Mr. Nseinkyire highlighted the medical backgrounds of Dr. Prempeh and Dr. Afriyie, comparing their strategic approach to diagnosing and performing surgery on a patient.
He assured that the campaign in the region would be a two-pronged approach, leaving no space for the NDC to make gains.
He also revealed that a significant defection of NDC members to the NPP is imminent, likening it to a "tsunami" that will soon hit the NDC in the region.
"You wait and see," he assured Mac-Jerry Osei Agyemang, host of Accra-based Neat FM, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024
