Otumfuo commends Samira Bawumia for supporting husband, urges her to campaign with humility

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged Samira Bawumia, wife of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to approach her campaign with humility and respect ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The advice was given during a courtesy call on Wednesday, 9 October 2024, while Mrs. Bawumia toured the Ashanti Region as part of her one-week campaign.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II highlighted the need for peaceful and respectful campaigning, encouraging Samira to focus on effectively communicating her party’s message and policies, without resorting to insults or violence.
His comments underscored the importance of civility in politics as the election period intensifies.
“God is the maker of kings, so continue spreading your message. I also thank you for supporting your husband in his campaign, as men succeed when they are supported by good and dedicated wives. I give you my blessings as you embark on your campaign activities,” the Asantehene said, commending her for her active involvement in the political process.
