Voting in Ghana

All the political parties in Ghana on Wednesday, 2 December 2020, at an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, agreed with the Electoral Commission’s proposal to the Chief of Staff and the Ministry for the Interior to gazette Monday, 7 December 2020 as a statutory public holiday.

The EC’s proposal seeks to give registered voters the opportunity to devote the day to exercise their civic rights and responsibility by voting on Election Day.

Present at the meeting were representatives of the political parties, civil society organisations and development partners.

Registered voters are expected to vote between 7 am and 5 pm on Monday, 7 December 2020.
