President Mahama completes ministerial appointments

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated the final batch of Deputy Ministers, in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
The names have been formally submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval.
The latest nominations include four Members of Parliament appointed to serve in various key ministries:
Dorcas Toffey, MP – Deputy Minister-designate for Transport
James G. Quayson, MP – Deputy Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs
Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP – Deputy Minister-designate for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP – Deputy Minister-designate for Health
The nominations complete the President’s list of Deputy Minister appointments as part of efforts to fully constitute his government following his return to office after the 2024 general elections.
In a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, the Presidency expressed confidence in the nominees and indicated that their approval by Parliament would further strengthen the administration’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.
The nominees are expected to appear before the Appointments Committee of Parliament for vetting in the coming days.
