The United States Embassy in Accra has announced the restoration of maximum validity periods for all categories of non-immigrant visas for Ghanaians, bringing them back to their previous durations.

Under the new arrangement, the B1/B2 visitor visa will once again be issued for a maximum of five years with multiple entry, while the F1 student visa has been restored to a maximum of four years with multiple entry.

The Embassy described the move as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen U.S.–Ghana relations and expand opportunities for travel, education, and business between the two countries.

The decision is expected to ease travel for Ghanaian students, businesspeople, and visitors to the United States, offering greater flexibility and predictability in visa arrangements.
