UE/R: Choose experience over experiment – Navrongo Central MP urges as he files nomination to contest NDC primaries

He, therefore, called on supporters and party sympathisers at the constituency level to commit to unity and the use of decent language toward victory

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central constituency in the Upper East Region, Sampson Tangombu Chiragia, has charged party executives and sympathisers to rally behind experience rather than experiment for victory come 2024 elections.

According to him, these few years in parliament have laid some developmental grounds, with top developers giving him the firm assurance that when the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) comes to power it will help realise jobs, infrastructure development, and improve the health sector in the constituency.

“It saddens my heart anytime I look at teeming youth in the constituency who have the expertise that can improve their lives and that of the constituency yet are laying waste simply because this current administration under Akufo-Addo has failed them. It is sad. But as I said, we can, if we all put our hands-on, vote out this NPP government and give 100 per cent to NDC and I, come 2024 elections,” he appealed.

The MP made this known on Sunday, 19 March 2023, after he filed his nomination form seeking to be retained as MP in the 2024 elections and the parliamentary candidate for the NDC.

Touching on some of the challenges confronting his constituents despite the numerous interventions taken by him, Mr Tangombu noted that youth unemployment, quality of education, and health infrastructure continue to be a major headache to him.

"I can’t say that I have been able to achieve all that I expected for my people. Virtually every single youth in this constituency has at least a first degree, some masters, yet no jobs to engage in. Pupils are still laying on the floor to learn, and quality healthcare needs to improve.

“These and many more I thought of, but I believe we can, we are focused to experience rather than experiment”, he stressed.

He, therefore, called on supporters and party sympathisers at the constituency level to commit to unity and the use of decent language toward victory.
