Vice President congratulates Ewurabena Aubynn on victory in Ablekuma North

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has extended her warm congratulations to Ewurabena Aubynn following her emphatic electoral victory in the Ablekuma North parliamentary re-run held on Friday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, July 12, the Vice President commended Aubynn for her courage, determination, and unwavering focus throughout the campaign.
“I salute her courage and sense of focus,” she stated, praising the candidate’s ability to secure a decisive win in a closely watched race.
However, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also expressed concern over some isolated incidents of violence that marred parts of the election.
“While it is good to be interested in the direction our country is taking, we should not allow our passion to devolve into violence,” she cautioned.
Emphasising the value of human life and the need for political maturity, she urged Ghanaians to work toward a future where elections are peaceful, routine, and free of tension.
“Human life is precious. Let us get to a place where elections are, by default, orderly and even ordinary events,” the Vice President said.
She concluded with a message of goodwill, wishing all Ghanaians a peaceful weekend and invoking divine blessings for the nation.
