Her Excellency Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is expected to visit communities in Accra today that have been affected by recent flooding caused by heavy rainfall.

The visit is intended to enable the Vice President to assess the extent of damage, interact with affected residents, and gather first-hand information on the impact of the floods on livelihoods and property.

During the tour, she will also engage local authorities, emergency response teams, and community leaders to better understand ongoing relief efforts and the challenges facing affected areas.

The visit forms part of government’s broader commitment to responding swiftly to natural disasters, coordinating emergency relief support, and working with relevant stakeholders to implement long-term measures aimed at reducing the impact of flooding and preventing future occurrences.
