The Mantse Ankrah Royal Family led by Nii Okanta Ankrah II,  has participated in the traditional 'Odadao' ceremony held at Gbese in the Greater Accra Region, marking the official lifting of the ban on drumming and noise-making.

The event formed part of customary rites leading to the celebration of the Ga Homowo festival, a key cultural observance in the Ga State.

Members of the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family were present and participated in the ceremony, an occasion they described as a demonstration of unity within the family and support for the broader agenda of cohesion within the Ga State.

The gathering also underscored the importance of preserving cultural traditions and strengthening ties among royal families and communities within the Ga traditional area.

In a remark, Nii Okanta Ankrah II expressed appreciation to relatives and friends who attended the ceremony, noting that their presence contributed to the significance and success of the occasion.

The Odadao rite, which signals the lifting of restrictions on drumming and noise-making, is a key milestone in the build-up to the annual Homowo festivities, celebrated by the Ga people in remembrance of historical resilience and harvest.
