WN/R: “Ashiem will get CHPS compound if I come back in 2021” – Mahama
The people of Ashiem community in the Western North Region have requested a CHPS compound from former President John Mahama should he win the 2020 general elections.
The people made the request when the flag bearer of the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), visited the community on Tuesday, 18 February 2020.
Mr Mahama visited the community as part of his SpeakOut tour of the Western North Region.
Climaxing the first day of the SpeakOut tour of the region, a community durbar was held at Ashiem where the people recounted the NDC administration’s developmental focus.
Mr Mahama reiterated his pledge to ensure the country’s total development with a focus on the provision of essential social services and critical infrastructure needed to drive growth.
A major request of the people of the area was the provision of a CHPS compound for the community which Mr Mahama noted will be a salient thing for the NDC under his administration when he’s voted back into government in 2021.
