Weija-Gbawe MP urges Muslims to uphold peace for national development

Jerry Ahmed Shaib, the Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the Greater Accra Region and the Second Deputy Minority Whip, has called on Muslims to live peacefully to safeguard the country’s development and growth.
He made the appeal when he joined the Muslim community in his constituency at the New Gbawe Cluster of Schools and McCarthy Central Mosque to observe Eid prayers.
Speaking at the event, Mr Shaib expressed his profound gratitude to all who participated in the prayers and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and unity in Ghana.
“I am grateful to everyone who took part in the Eid prayers and prayed for peace and unity in our beloved country. It is essential that we continue to live harmoniously as one people to foster national development,” he stated.
The lawmaker further encouraged the Muslim community to continue promoting tolerance and coexistence, stressing that peaceful living remains a key ingredient for progress.
The event, which brought together scores of worshippers, was marked by prayers, thanksgiving, and a renewed commitment to fostering peace in the community.
