You've failed Ghanaians; Resign! - Independent presidential candidate slams Mahama

Kofi Koranteng

Independent presidential candidate Kofi Koranteng has called on President John Dramani Mahama to resign, accusing him of failing to meet the expectations of Ghanaians since assuming office.

Speaking on Voice of the Diaspora, a programme on Fresh Radio, a Germany-based online radio station, Mr. Koranteng argued that the President’s administration has underperformed in tackling some of the country’s most pressing challenges.

He alleged that the government has failed to effectively address corruption, illegal mining (galamsey), and the country’s high unemployment rate, among other issues.

According to Mr. Koranteng, these challenges have persisted despite the expectations that accompanied President Mahama’s return to office, adding that the administration has not delivered the leadership and reforms Ghanaians had hoped for.

The independent presidential hopeful maintained that the President should take responsibility for what he described as the government’s shortcomings by stepping down from office.

His comments were made during an interview on Fresh Radio’s Voice of the Diaspora programme, where he discussed governance, accountability, and the current state of the nation.
