2026 FIFA WCQ: Ghana pins down Mali 1:0

Ghana has bested Mali 1:0 at the Accra (Ohene Gyan) Sports Stadium.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (WCQ) match took place on Monday, September 8, 2025, starting at 7 PM.
The only goal of the match came from Ghana Black Stars' Alexander Djiku in the 49th minute, via Jordan Ayew's inswinging corner.
Ghana continues its lead of Group I but now with 19 points.
Led by Coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars have an away game against Central African Republic. Thereafter, the team hosts Comoros. The team needs just a win from the two encounters to return to the World Cup.
