Black Stars to face Honduras in final World Cup Warm-Up
Ghana's Black Stars will take on Honduras in a friendly match on June 9 as part of their final preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match replaces an earlier proposed fixture against Jamaica on June 10, which was not finalised. The Honduras game will be played behind closed doors.
The friendly will be the final test for head coach Carlos Queiroz and his squad following their 1-1 draw with Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium.
After the match, the Black Stars will travel to Toronto to begin their campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana, appearing at the tournament for the fifth time, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field before facing England at Gillette Stadium on June 23. Their final group-stage match will be against Croatia on June 27.
Ghana will be seeking to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since the 2010 FIFA World Cup, having exited in the first round in both 2014 and 2022.
