GFA, FIFA conclude capacity-building prog for female football administrators

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have wrapped up a Female Football Administrators (FFA) capacity-building programme in Ghana.
GFA noted this on Facebook, Saturday, September 14, 2024.
The FFA programme was aimed at Regional Women’s Division One League (DOL) across Ghana, with certificates presented at the end.
Two FIFA Instructors, Thubaelihle Bridgette Sibanda and Michelle Jane Kerr, spearheaded the six-day, two-batch training programme.
"Capacity building for football administrators is one of FIFA's Women's Football Development programmes. The idea is to get the game as much to the communities as possible," Thubaelihle Sibanda remarked.
"It's a way to work with administrators all over the world, empowering them with essential skills for them to run clubs and try to lead clubs to a step of professionalisation and sustainability."
Safe guarding and protecting a game’s integrity was one thematic area of study.
Women’s Competitions Manager Madam Barbara Araba Yankah took participants through the GFA Women Leagues Competitions Management.
The Head of Women Football Development at the GFA Technical Directorate, Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong, took participants through the GFA Women Football strategy implementation stage.
"All these people make the management of a team possible to carry out the day-to-day activities of the club that is why we included them for us to impact knowledge into them so they can go back and implement it," she said about the FFA capacity-building programme.
The course was designed to improve leadership, strategic planning, communication, and marketing skills in women's football, with 80 administrators from across Ghana benefiting.
The GFA has announced the Women's Premier Super Cup taking place between 21-29 September at Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE), Prampram.
