Liberty Professionals Football Club has received official approval from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to change its name to Hohoe United Football Club Limited. 

The GFA has outlined specific conditions regarding the name change, ensuring that all existing documents, rights, and obligations related to the former name remain valid and in force for Hohoe United Football Club Limited. 

This includes any debts, fines owed to the GFA, player registration licenses, and fees associated with the previous name, Liberty Professionals FC.

On June 19, 2023, a statement was released announcing the change of name.
