WAFCON 2025: Black Queens take on Côte d’Ivoire in 2 int'l friendlies
Ghana’s Black Queens are set to take on Côte d'Ivoire’s Éléphantelles in two important international friendlies.
The matches, scheduled for May 30, and June 3, 2025, are part of preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Head Coach Kim Lars Björkegren has named a 24-player full-strength squad including: Ampem Darkoa, Nancy Amoh, Afi Amenyaku, Abigail Kofi Kim, Louisa Animwaa Grace Acheampong and Alice Kusi.
Being the team’s third and fourth, the international friendlies come after the Black Queens faced Senegal as apart of WAFCON preparations which began in March.
The 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) starts on July 5, and ends on July 26.
