Women’s Premier League Side, Prisons Ladies, have expressed gratitude to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Melcom Ghana Limited for not reneging on the promise they made before the start of the League season.

It will be recalled that in November 2020, President of the GFA, Kurt Edwin Simeon- Okraku announced a sponsorship package with Melcom Ghana, during the launch of the 2020/21 League season. As part of the deal, each Women’s Premier League club is entitled to a GHS2,000 worth of shopping voucher from Melcom Ghana.

The playing body and some technical team members of the club went shopping at the Sunyani branch on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

"I want to use this opportunity to acknowledge Melcom for the shopping coupon given to all the 16 Women Clubs. Prisons ladies team Manager, C.O.P Fainusatu Abdulai Naomi told ghanafa.org.

"Our players were very happy and honoured that Melcom was able to give us these shopping vouchers. We are all happy that we went for shopping and grateful we were able to buy some stuff at the Sunyani branch.

"We want to thank the Ghana Football Association and Melcom for this initiative and hope that, more will come" she added.
