Ghana’s U-17 Women’s National Team, the Black Maidens, will open their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign against Togo as they push for a return to the global stage.

The Black Maidens were paired with their West African rivals in the first round of the qualifiers, with the two-legged encounter scheduled between April 10 and 12, 2026. The reverse fixture will be played from April 17-19.

The tie represents the opening hurdle in Ghana’s qualification pathway as the team seeks to re-establish itself among the world’s leading youth sides.

Should Ghana overcome Togo, they will advance to the second round to face either Libya or Liberia, with matches set for May 22–24 and May 29–31.

A successful second-round outing could set up a challenging third-round clash against one of Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, or Cameroon. Those decisive ties are slated for July 3–5 and July 10–12.

The Black Maidens are expected to assemble in the coming days to begin preparations for the qualifiers and their renewed push for World Cup qualification.
