UG Vice Chancellor participates in UG Corporate Tennis Championship
The University of Ghana (UG) Corporate Tennis Championship is set to take place on Saturday, 25th October 2025.
At the UG tennis court at 9 AM, the action begins, promising a day full of energy, camaraderie, and top-quality corporate tennis.
Adding a special touch to the event, the UG Vice Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, will take to the court for a curtain raiser match to officially open the championship.

The friendly exhibition game is expected to set a lively tone for the day and demonstrate the university’s commitment to fostering sportsmanship, wellness, and community spirit.
This year’s corporate tennis championship has drawn participation from some of Ghana’s leading institutions and companies, including the Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Stanbic Bank PLC, and GOIL PLC.
Each team is expected to bring its best players and lots of enthusiasm for an exciting and competitive day of tennis.
The tournament is proudly supported by partners GOIL, Penfield School, Ghana Tennis Federation, and Verna Water.
The University of Ghana Corporate Tennis Championship, organised by the University of Ghana Sports and Wellness Directorate and RITE Sports Services, is more than just a competition, it is a celebration of teamwork, fitness, and community connection, reflecting the University’s vision of nurturing well-rounded excellence both on and off the court.
