Women’s U-20 world cup: Ghana suffers defeat in opener
The Black Princesses have lost their first group D match at the Womens under 20 World Cup.
The Princesses were beaten three goals to nil by the United States.
Ghana was reduced to 10 players after Jacqueline Owusu was sent off following a VAR check for foul on American player Korbin Albert.
Also, Ghana’s Cecilia Nyama was given a red card and was sent off the field, however, a VAR check overturned the decision, and she received a yellow card instead.
Ghana will play Japan in their next match on Sunday, 14 August 2022.
