5-member c'ttee inaugurated to probe Kejetia Market fire

A five-member committee of inquiry has been inaugurated to investigate the fire that gutted the Kumasi Kejetia Market in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti region.
The Committee chaired by Prof Ophiuchus Adjei-Kumi of the Department of Construction Technology and Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Sciences and Technology (KNUST) has three weeks to submit its report.
Other members of the committee are Francis Koffie, private legal practitioner; Kofi Ampong, Valuer/property manager and real estate consultant; Daniel Kwaku Denteh, Deputy Director General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in charge of Finance and Administration.
Madam Emelia Ayebeng Botchway from the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council is the secretary to the committee inaugurated by the Minister of State-designate for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah today, Wednesday, 29 March 2023 in Kumasi.
The fire razed some shops in the market on Wednesday, 15 March 2023.
