DVLA warns public to disregard fake number plate design circulating on social media

The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, has dismissed a new vehicle number plate design circulating on social media, describing it as fake.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Mr. Kotey clarified that the design “is not coming from the DVLA” and urged the public to disregard it.
He assured Ghanaians that the Authority has not introduced any such new number plate format beyond the officially approved designs in use, and warned against misinformation aimed at misleading motorists and the general public.
The DVLA says it remains committed to keeping the public informed about any official changes through its authorised communication channels.
