The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced a sharp decline in the Producer Price Inflation (PPI) for July 2025, placing the rate at 3.8%, compared to 5.8% in June 2025 and 29.1% in July 2024.

This latest data, released today, August 20, 2025, highlights a significant slowdown in inflationary pressures within the production sector, signalling improved price stability for goods and services.

The decline reflects ongoing adjustments in the economy, with the GSS noting that producer prices have eased considerably from last year’s high levels.

The sharp drop also suggests that businesses and consumers may see some relief in the cost of production and goods over the coming months.

The release is part of the GSS’s monthly updates on key economic indicators, which provide critical insights into Ghana’s inflation trends and overall economic performance
