GA/R: Julius Debrah donates GH₵500,000 to empower women entrepreneurs in Madina

In a major boost for grassroots entrepreneurship, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, through his Walk With Julius initiative, has donated GH₵500,000 as seed capital to support registered women entrepreneurs under the newly launched Madina Chamber of Commerce.
The announcement was made during the Chamber’s official launch by the Member of Parliament for Madina in the Greater Accra Region, Francis Xavier Sosu, who hailed the initiative as a catalyst for sustainable livelihoods and women’s economic independence across Ghana.
Addressing entrepreneurs and community leaders, Mr. Debrah encouraged women and youth to embrace entrepreneurship with courage and faith.
He stressed that success in business is not limited to the highly educated but is open to anyone willing to take a bold step.
“God didn’t bless everyone with the talent to become a doctor or a lawyer.
But He gave each of us unique gifts. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world were school dropouts who believed in their ideas.
The most important thing is to start,” he said.
Using vivid analogies, he likened business to a seed that, with persistence and determination, can grow into something remarkable.
He reminded participants that as beings created in God’s image, they possess the power to create and transform their lives through hard work, prayer, and goodwill.
Citing the biblical story of Moses, whose staff turned into a serpent when he obeyed God’s command, Mr. Debrah emphasised the power of faith and obedience in unlocking extraordinary results.
He noted that even a small business—such as selling roasted plantain—can thrive depending on how it is presented and managed.
Mr. Debrah further assured attendees that the Madina Chamber of Commerce would serve not only as a platform for financial empowerment but also as a supportive network for entrepreneurs determined to grow their businesses.
“I only came here with good news, and I believe together, we can build something great,” he declared.
The launch of the Chamber marks a turning point for grassroots entrepreneurship, particularly for women in Madina.
