The Bank of Ghana on Tuesday hosted H.E. Abdullah KH Almusaibeeh, President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), as part of a high-level visit to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy Secretariat.

The MoU cements BADEA’s partnership with Ghana in advancing public and trade finance projects, with the delegation reaffirming the bank’s commitment to supporting the country’s development agenda.

H.E. Almusaibeeh commended Ghana’s recent economic progress and praised the remarkable stability of the cedi, describing it as a strong foundation for growth.

Welcoming the delegation, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, highlighted the importance of the 24-hour economy initiative, which seeks to drive productivity and job creation through round-the-clock economic activity.

“The 24-hour economy is a game-changer that will unleash the full potential of our productive sectors.

With BADEA as partners, this vision will be fulfilled,” Dr. Asiama said.

Officials noted that the agreement marks a significant step in mobilising international partnerships to accelerate Ghana’s economic transformation.
