TMA charges Tema Central Sub-Metro Council to boost revenue mobilisation

The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has called on the newly sworn-in chairman and council members of the Tema Central Sub-Metro to prioritise revenue mobilisation as a key driver of development in the metropolis.
At the swearing-in ceremony, TMA Coordinating Director John Nana Owu underscored that the work of the Sub-Metro rests on three core pillars — development control, sanitation, and revenue mobilisation.
He cautioned that without adequate internally generated funds, the Assembly’s ability to deliver on its development agenda would be severely constrained.
He therefore urged the new council to adopt innovative approaches to expand the revenue base within their jurisdiction.
The newly elected Sub-Metro Chairman, Emmanuel Swanzy Martin, pledged to pursue initiatives aligned with TMA’s development priorities, assuring residents of his commitment to accelerate growth and improve service delivery in the metropolis.
