GIPC CEO urges global energy investors to explore opportunities in Ghana

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, has urged the international energy community to channel investments into Ghana, highlighting the country’s readiness for both fossil fuel development and renewable energy projects.
Speaking at Ghana Energy Day in Accra, held alongside the 2025 Africa Oil Week conference, Mr. Madjie outlined Ghana’s competitive advantages, including ongoing economic reforms, a stable political environment, and strong legal frameworks that protect investors.
As part of efforts to strengthen investor confidence, he announced the launch of the Investor Grievance Academy, a new mechanism designed to swiftly address and resolve business concerns before they escalate.
“Ghana is serious about attracting, keeping, and helping investors thrive,” Mr. Madjie emphasised.
He noted that Ghana’s long-term vision is to position itself as a leading hub for energy investment in Africa, leveraging its petroleum resources while advancing innovation in green technologies.
According to him, the country’s balanced approach — combining traditional energy with renewable solutions — provides unique opportunities for global partners seeking sustainable, profitable ventures on the continent.
