GUTA congratulates GRA on exceeding 2019 revenue target

The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has congratulated the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) on exceeding its revenue target for the year 2019.
In a statement, GUTA said it “wishes to congratulate the Ghana Revenue Authority on exceeding its revenue target for the year-ending 2019 and also commend the board, management and staff of the Authority for the excellent job done.”
“GUTA is, indeed, very happy about this achievement of the GRA, especially coming in the wake of the numerous challenges in the year under review, coupled with the reduction of the benchmark value by government.”
GUTA said this has vindicated its position that if taxes are made affordable, they ensure easy compliance. Therefore, in their view, the bold decision taken by the government on the reduction of the benchmark value, has contributed immensely to this success with the effective collaboration of GUTA as a union.
GUTA noted that it shall continue to give out its best in honouring its tax obligations, and would entreat everyone to live up to expectation when it comes to tax responsibilities.
